MISSION STATEMENT

Spartan Gear Shop is operated by active law enforcement members and United States Military veterans. Our missions are simple; Provide great lifestyle experience, support the thin blue line and our military, and give back to these heroes as much and as often as we can.

If you're part of the blue family, a military family, or just into owning some great apparel that supports both families, we have something for you.

Spartan Gear Shop works with organizations that support the families of fallen police officers and our veterans who return home with hidden wounds. The shirts are designed and printed in Long Island, New York.

THE COMPANY

Spartans were known throughout history as great warriors, dedicated to their craft and never backing away from a fight. We feel that today's heroes share that same drive and dedication to the fight, whether that fight be crime in our neighborhoods or wars halfway across the globe.

480 B.C.

Fantastically outnumbered by an enormous Persian force, the Spartan King Leonidas defied the Persian King Xerxes’ demand to lay down his spears by replying, "MOLON LABE"- a now-famous phrase which translates to 'Come and take them.' This spirit is the spirit with which our company is driven- A warrior mentality- and we invite you to join us on our mission.

THIN BLUE LINE

The phrase Thin Blue Line refers figuratively to the position of police in society as the barrier which holds back chaos, allowing order and civilization to thrive. The sheepdog that keep the wolves from disrupting the flock.

The term began as an allusion to the famous "Thin Red Line", when a British regiment held off a Russian cavalry charge during the Crimean War in 1854, where "red" referred to the color of the British uniforms. The "blue" in "thin blue line" refers to the blue color of the uniforms of many police departments.
